17th Long Night of Dance in Bleiburg
The trademark of the CCB's annual program is undoubtedly the "Long Night of Dance", which will take place on June 8th 2024 in Bleiburg. The town will be transformed into a lively stage when artists from over 10 nations present contemporary dance performances. This festival, which is characterized by changing themes and the use of different locations, offers a unique experience for artists and audiences alike.
Residency program at the Werkhof Bistrica
This year, for the first time, the CCB is opening the doors of the Werkhof Bistrica to two interdisciplinary groups of artists who will devote themselves intensively to the theme of "ZEITENWENDE" for several days from 26.4. bis 5.5. The CCB creates a protected space for creative exploration and collaboration, which will be used by the artists Giusy Cirillo & Samanta Malavasi (IT) as well as Karolina Wyrwal (POL), Marcin Motyl (POL) and Paul Tinsley (GB). The new format emphasizes the importance of open-ended artistic research and promotes long-term partnerships. The CCB plans to repeat this program every two years to support regional and international artistic research. The final presentation will take place on May 4th at Werkhof Bistrica
School workshop at the Slovene Grammar School
In cooperation with Christina Comtesse and the Slovene Grammar School, the CCB is also organizing a school workshop lasting several days with high school students. The project not only strengthens cultural ties to the local community, but also promotes the integration of art and education. The CCB is committed to promoting young talent and emphasizing the importance of artistic expression in education.
