Über uns
The Center for Choreography Bleiburg/Pliberk (CCB) was founded in 2011 as a platform for contemporary dance in Carinthia under the patronage of Johann Kresnik. As a bilingual cultural institution, we combine contemporary dance with socio-political engagement and aim to reach as many people as possible and inspire them to take up dance, transcending conventional boundaries. Our program includes the Long Night of Dance, residencies, guest performances, educational projects, workshops, promotion of young talent, and much more—throughout the year and at various locations in Carinthia.
The CCB Tanzbüro Villach | biro plesa Beljak s an initiative of the CCB and acts as a central point of contact for contemporary dance in Villach and Carinthia. It strengthens the regional dance scene, promotes exchange and cooperation between dance professionals, institutions, and communities, and implements a wide range of projects in the field of dance and performance. With its focus on Villach and its view of the Alpe-Adria region, the Tanzbüro contributes to building sustainable structures and promoting cross-border dialogue.
The CCB team works in multiple languages, across disciplines, and in a decentralized manner—with an office in Villach and regular online and in-person meetings.
